About PACM
PACM is an Aboriginal enterprise committed to providing exceptional service to our customers, while creating employment and opportunities for Aboriginal people and businesses. PACM brings together the expertise and experience of three Aboriginal companies to provide complete solutions to government, mining and commercial customers Australia wide.
Parakeelya is a desert plant native across Australia. The plant grows in harsh conditions and is eaten as bush tucker to support life. We have adopted the parakeelya as our emblem and strive to embody the same characteristics as our namesake.
PACM is Supply Nation Certified as majority Aboriginal owned and operated, registered as Parakeelya Architecture and Construction. Our Chairman, CEO and Chief Architect are Aboriginal owners of the business, with long-standing relationships across Aboriginal communities, organisations and business networks Australia wide.
Our directors helped establish the Aboriginal Business Industry Chamber of South Australia (ABICSA), and our people have built and led Aboriginal workforces in mining and construction — at one operation reaching 70% Aboriginal engagement across a 130-person workforce.
How we work
PACM is committed to a culture based on excellence and performance. We set targets across all our activities against four elements.
We do what we quote. We comprehend our client's needs before we start, include every detail in our tender submissions, and on site we do not deviate from our comprehensive pre-planning.
Constant improvement in every aspect of the company through continuous training, education and audit. Our five-stage approach: listen, collaborate, explore, adapt, deliver.
Responsible behaviour is the base layer of sustainability at PACM. It sits at the core of our conduct, at every layer of the organisation, every day.
Flexible working arrangements, health and fitness programmes, personal improvement courses and staff recreation days — so our people can work smarter and stay well.
Growing opportunities
PACM strives to provide opportunities for Aboriginal suppliers and people. Our diverse range of projects creates opportunity throughout our supply chain — apprenticeships, plant operators, site supervisors and project managers.
